CAAPA launches two annual awards for our members: "CAAPA Best Student Paper Award" and "Wen Wang Award for Best Young Scholar Paper." The Wen Wang Award (王闻奖) is established in memory of Dr. Wen Wang, CAAPA President, 2017-2018, for his significant contribution to the research collaboration and academic exchanges between China and United States in the field of public affairs and his mentorship to young scholars. The 2nd Chinese Forum on Public Administration (第二届华人公共管理论坛) was successfully held at Xi’an Jiaotong University in Xi’an, China on June 10-12, 2011.  The conference was a joint effort between CAAPA, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Sun Yat-Sen University in China. 

CAAPA also organized two conference panels related to Chinese public administration development at the annual conference of the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA) in Baltimore, U.S.A. on March 11-15, 2011. 

CAAPA and the School of Public Administration, University of Nebraska at Omaha jointly organized and sponsored a one-day symposium on China studies on October 6th, 2010 at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. During the meeting, CAAPA President, Dr. Yilin Hou, also presented the Association’s Outstanding Contribution Award to Mr. William Joseph Sullivan, Assistant Dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
